Meeting with foreign lecturers teaching at the University of Veliko Tarnovo

The Dean’s office of the Faculty of Modern languages met with foreign lecturers teaching at the University of Veliko Tarnovo in “Europa” hall. During the meeting, the foreign lecturers were acquainted with the history, traditions and structure of the University.

Vice-rector of International relations, assoc. prof. Dimitar Dimitrov welcomed the lecturers on behalf of the academic body.

“Welcome to one of the best universities in Bulgaria! Here you will have not only the opportunity to teach but also exchange thoughts and opinions with other colleagues. I am certain that from this day on the University of Veliko Tarnovo, Veliko Tarnovo itself and Bulgaria will remain in your hearts,” assoc. prof. Dimitar Dimitrov said in his welcoming speech.

This year the University hosts lecturers from Serbia, France, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Russia, the USA, Romania, Japan and China.

Many members of the academic staff at UVT also have the opportunity to study in the libraries of our foreign partner universities, read lectures and consult colleagues. It is certain that this international cooperation is a considerably contributes to successfully attaining academic ranks, increased education quality and is key in establishing the University as a national education and science hub in the Humanities.
