♦specialized seminars in the following fields: Bulgarian history in the Balkan and European context; Bulgarian and comparative Slavonic and Balkan linguistics; paleoslavic studies (Old Bulgarian language and literature); Bulgarian literature – national characteristics in the Slavonic and European context; modern social and political processes

♦courses in Bulgarian folklore: folk dancing, folk singing, traditional instruments of one’s choice (for beginners and advanced students)

♦consultations for writing seminar, course and diploma papers in the field of Bulgarian studies (comparative aspect, too)

♦scientific activities: scientific session “Current issues of Bulgarian and Slavic studies”, topical round tables, topical scientific collections

♦a School for interpreters with flexible programs

♦cultural and excursion programme for getting acquainted with the past, the national culture and modern life of the Bulgarians

CLASSES are held at the University of Veliko Turnovo. Students are provided with modern lecture-halls, phonetic labs, computer centre and Internet, libraries, language centres and a sports centre.

THE PARTICIPANTS ARE ACCOMMODATED at a hotel, a hostel or with a family (according to preliminary stated request).
